AGROCYCLE
Innovation in the case study
The project developed innovations that can be characterised as knowledge-based (generating new knowledge on availability of AWCBs), technical (evaluation of existing technologies for valorisation of AWCBs, demonstration of their applicability and raising the technology readiness level (TRL) of experimental processes), organisational (development of new business models and AWCB valorisation streams) as well as social (development of educational resources for children and teachers in early education).
Whilst the majority of these innovations were planned from the inception of the project, there were also some unexpected innovations which have had a significant social impact (the educational resources and videos for children).
