ANCIENT GRAIN

Innovation in the case study

The greatest strength of the Ancient Grain Operational Group is the close cooperation between scientists, businesses and advisers with farmers, which brings tangible results in practice.

During the project, scientists and advisers are providing comprehensive substantive and practical help to farmers, working with them at the key stages of the project.

On the other hand, the entrepreneurs are handling the commercialisation the products from ancient grains, creating possibilities for additional markets and sources of income for agricultural producers.

Agriculture

There are two levels of innovation within Ancient Grain:

a) Technical – concerning the reintroduction of old grain varieties within the context of current practices applied at farm level, and
b) Organisational – introducing the multi-actor approach (MAA) into the top-down oriented Polish AKIS.
