Innovation in the case study

The innovation is both organisational and technical. Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada is providing technical and managerial support, but this also includes the appointment of a scientific team to support research that will be developed in broad consultation with farmers, land-based organisations, catchment groups and non-governmental organisations.

A nationwide network of sites will be developed to create innovative solutions that deliver the sustainable intensification of agriculture.to help the sector: adjust to climate change; reduce water contamination; improve soil and water conservation; maximise habitat capacity and biodiveristy on agricultural landscapes.
