Innovation in the case study

The innovation in PSVA is twofold: organisational (managed through a voluntary agreement and open-ended programme) and product-related, through adding value and branding, with sustainability at the core of the project.

Although some producers had already introduced some sustainability practices, such a complete set of sustainability practices is innovative in Portugal as well as throughout Europe. 

Agriculture

The types of innovative solutions mostly relate to Value Chain and Product innovation, although Organisational and Institutional innovation are also apparent.
